Card Through Window Trick

This trick has a great effect and can be done pretty easily with a small amount of help.

Step 1

Force a Card

There are many ways to force a card, and they are all really easy. The one I like best, and i find works the best is the Classic force. This is when you ask somebody to pick any card, but really you are forceing them the card.

Set up

Before you do the actual magic trick, you have to set it up. Get any deck, and find any card, and place it about 10 cards into the deck. Remember where you put the card, and what it is, in this will be important.

So now the card you want them to pick is 10 cards down from the top of the deck. Now here comes the tricky part, actually forceing them the card.

Force a Card

Spread the cards out still remembering that the card you want them to pick is 10 cards into the deck. Keep spreading the cards until you are about the ninth card down, and make a space between the 9th card ant the 11th card, bascially forcing them to pick that card. Push that card slightly forward, making them grab that card into there hands.

Congratulations now you have forced a card!

Set up 2

Now that you know what card the spectator is going to pick, you have to place a duplicate card on a window or on some kind of glass you can see through. Use some kind of glue or double sided tape and make sure it sticks on the inside of a window. Now that you have done your set-ups, you can start your routine.

Presentation

So you have the tenth card down memorized. The trick basically just does itself from here. Do your forced card routine, then ask the spectator to memorize the card, put it back into the deck, and shuffle and then give it back to you. Once you have the deck in your hands pretend to do a magic thing. Wave your hand over the cards as if you are really magic. Don't be afraid to act! Take the top card off the deck and say, "Is this your card?" And of course they will say "no", because the odds of actually getting there card on the top of the deck are 1 in 52. Keep bringing off the top cards and still asking them if the next card will be there card. After a couple trys, stop and say, i think i can do something here, hold on. Walk toward the window and throw the cards so they all spread out, all the person sees now is there card on the other side of the window!

Tips

If the person doesn't pick the card you want them to, do another trick.
